SUSPENSION OF DANCE AND DANCESPORT ACTIVITES DUE TO SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)
Following the address by State President Cyril Ramaphosa on 15 March 2020, and in the interest of health and welfare of our athletes and their immediate families, DSSA Management Committee (MANCO) is advising PAB’s, RAB’s, Associate Members and athletes that all dance competitions, workshops and other activities, with a potential to attract more than 100 participants are suspended until 31 May 2020, subject to review of the status quo by the President or designated representative.
In this regard, workshops scheduled for Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal and Eastern Cape are suspended until further notice. It is also with regret that participation in international events, including World Championships, is suspended until further notice.
DSSA would like to advise all dancers, coaches and parents to follow health tips provided by our National Department of Health to deal with covid-19 crisis.
I encourage you all to stay positive and gather as much knowledge as possible about the disease for the sake of our families and our fellow men.
Yours in DanceSport
